Cedar Coast’s vegetable garden is growing! Seeds planted weeks ago are sprouted, green and reaching tall.
After the first sunflower sprouts got devoured by the garden monster, a protective layer of crushed shells from the beach was placed around the sunflower and bean beds.
Potatoes planted in April are shooting through the soil and seaweed, while the onions and garlic are thriving alongside small self-seeded tomatoes.
The kale and arugula have gone wild. And the cauliflower, broccoli and squash are flourishing.
