As our first season came to a close and the winter weather approached, Melanie Morris brought her grade 6/7 class from the local Wickaninnish Community School to explore the ecology of Vargas Island. The class spent much of their time working on team building activities and hiking cross island to the sandy beach at Ahous Bay, where the wonders of the open pacific ocean can be observed first hand.
